The wrap up event each year at the eWomenPublishingNetwork Conference is "Lessons Learned", featuring successful authors who are members of the publishing network and who have been published over the past year or two.
1. Introduction (21 min)- Panelists introduce themselves, their books and their experience of becoming a published author:
- Elinor Stutz, author of a self-published book that sold to a major publisher
- Francine Ward, Esq., author of 2 books with major publishers, one netting a six-figure advance
- Kimberly Fulcher, author of a self-published book that sold to a major publisher with a six-figure advance
- Lauren Sullivan, author of a self-published book
- Carol McClelland, Ph.D., author of 3 books, one self published and two with major publishers, including a book in the "For Dummies" series
- Jenifer Madson, author of a self-published book
2. Segment 2 (21 min)- The panelists talk about what they loved about the writing experience and what their favorite writing resources were.
3. Segment 3 (19 min) - The panelists talk about the publishing experience, whether they were traditionally or self-published and the pros and cons. Also, panelist Francine Ward gives tips on contracts.
