1. What is eWomenPublishingNetwork?
The mission of eWomenPublishingNetwork is to help women
who want to become non-fiction authors write marketable books and to help
women who are already authors create spin-off or additional
products and promote them effectively. We do this by working directly with authors and aspiring
authors to offer professional advice, a qualified pool of
resources, learning opportunities, connections to publishing insiders, and the support of other women members.
eWomenPublishingNetwork is a membership organization because we know it will take you at least a year to successfully create, publish and promote your book. We want you to have all the access you need for that entire year and to not have to worry about buying one coaching session at a time. Sometimes you will use the membership a lot, perhaps as your book goes to the printer. Sometimes you will be working on one element by yourself for a month and won't use it as much. But we are always there to help you as you make your way along the publishing path.

2. What do you offer author members and aspiring author members?
For all members: We offer as much coaching as you need to get the job done, access to our member-only
website full of resources for each step of the process such as an extensive audio library, and workshops and other events where you can share success stories with authors and professionals in the publishing
industry, and finally, book industry professionals to turn to with questions, concerns and support -- constant contact with members via email or phone, whichever they prefer.
For aspiring authors: As part of the membership fee, we will do a professional evaluation of the book concept
and review a proposal or any other material the member has developed. We help you strategize how best to take a good idea and do what it takes to create a great book.
As part of the evaluation, we will also suggest additional resources she can use if she wants to get more help with writing a proposal, writing the book, media coaching, image consulting everything that may help her become a successful author. The resource professionals are an additional fee, but are pre-selected so that we have the best book professionals in the country who charge reasonable rates.
For established authors: As we do for aspiring authors, the first step is to do an evaluation of the book and its marketability, looking at what she has already accomplished in marketing and what she would like to achieve, and what might be holding her back.
Then eWomenPublishingNetwork offers a number of amazing promotional opportunities. In brief, these are:
- A guaranteed interview on the eWomenNetwork radio show, on the ABC affiliate, 820 WBAP.
- Opportunities to speak at the 90 eWomenNetwork chapters in North America.
- Opportunities to speak and appear on stage with her book at the eWomenNetwork International Conference.
- A listing in the eWomenPublishingNetwork.com Online Bookstore
- A Book launch party in her honor.
- Her articles promoted in over 60 women's national and regional magazines through our magazine partners, including the Women's Regional Publishing Association (WRPA).
We will also work with her to develop products around her book - audio tapes, promotional articles, etc.
to help her further spread her message.

3. How much will it cost for me to get a book published and promoted well?
This is a hard question to answer, and not the same for every book or every author. As a round figure, you can expect to spend between $10,000 and $15,000, but many authors have spent two and three times that much. Besides the
time you invest in writing the book, most authors spend their own money for book publicity.
This ranges from a thousand dollars or less to buy promotional copies and send out email flyers to
as much as $30,000 or more to finance book tour travel, a website, and promotional marketing pieces.
One thing we do know is that your publisher is unlikely to spend more than $1,000 in marketing your
book if you are a first-time author, so expect to spend $5,000 to $10,000 for professional assistance
to write a marketable book and promote it well. The eWomenPublishingNetwork is here to help you cut those costs
to a minimum and get real value for your dollar.

4. Why should I become a member now?
You should join now because our program and promotion assistance is based on quality,
not quantity. You could find the program full just at the time you are ready to join.
In addition, your membership fee to join eWomenPublishingNetwork will never be lower.
We intend to work with a select few women, so the membership fee will rise considerably
as we reach optimal service levels.

5. What types of books are eligible for the eWomenPublishingNetwork program?
Currently we are only accepting non-fiction books. Although we are supportive of all types of books, we feel our specialty, where we can bring most value to authors and aspiring authors, is in this area. So we can't currently help with fiction, biographies, cookbooks, children's books and other genres. We can help with books about
how to run and manage businesses or business activities, books about working with people and
leadership qualities, and self-help, including motivation and inspiration. (Note: business
fiction like the book "Who Moved My Cheese?" is great.) If you have a question about whether
your book fits in our program, please email us your general idea or topic and we'll let you know.

6. Do you publish books?
No, we are not publishers, but we are a network of highly qualified and well-connected publishing
professionals who can help you become self-published or published by a mainstream publisher.

7. I'm considering self-publishing. Am I still a good candidate to become a member?
Yes. We have resources to assist the self-published author as well as those approaching traditional
publishers. In fact, our promotional activities may be more valuable for those with no other means to
market their books nationally and internationally. In addition, you will have access to the same types
of editorial services through eWomenPublishingNetwork as you would if you went through a traditional publisher.

8. What if I want to do everything myself and not use outside resources?
While we will recommend book professionals to you to shortcut your process, you are not required to buy
any outside services. You will have access to our outstanding resources and ideas at any time. Our
intent is to help women develop their ideas completely and create the best and most marketable books
they can. You can take advantage of as many resources as you desire or your budget allows. The
decision will be completely yours. Our job is to provide you with sage advice, experience, and knowledge
to help you achieve your objectives.

9. Do you offer writing classes or writing workshops?
No. We are not seeking to compete with the many fine organizations that
teach writing or have writing groups. We will recommend some of the
best to our members. We are a publishing resource and marketing vehicle
to help steer you in the right direction and give you feedback.

10. I have some ideas and would like to be a published author, but I don't know if I have
what it takes to write an entire book. Can you help me?
Yes. We can help you assess your time and your commitment and design a plan that fits
you. While we will always seek to give constructive, honest feedback, we recognize
that each woman is on her own path and we will assist you to do the work you want to do.

11. What if I don't agree with your professional feedback about my work?
Giving professional criticism or feedback is our commitment to you. We will always be kind,
but we will always tell you what we really think as experienced book professionals. Our intent
is to help you grow as an author. We would always expect you to use your own judgment. However,
we've seen too many women spend a lot of money to market books that were not as powerful as they
could have been with a slightly different approach. This is a collaborative process. One thing
you will never get from us is a form letter--the kind you get from most publishers, that doesn't
help you understand why your book was not accepted for publication. If we don't agree with your
choices, you will always know why, and we will work it through until we find solutions together.

12. I'm already an author, and I'm pretty satisfied with my own promotional effort so far. What can you offer me?
Congratulations--then you are one of the lucky few. eWomenPublishingNetwork can still offer you a network
of women authors to support your efforts. We can also offer you some options to consider for broadening
your work into speaking and additional products. In addition, even if you are satisfied with your promotional
efforts, you have the opportunity to get additional national and international exposure. You can never have
too much promotion.

13. I am offering services to authors in my area. How can I become one of your team of book professionals?
We welcome your application and will review your credentials, experience and philosophy in providing
book services. We will only be offering the best of the best to our members. If you have gotten great
feedback from your clients and can demonstrate your expertise, please let us know about your work.

14. Can I pay my annual membership fee over time instead of all at once?

No, you do not need to become a member of eWomenNetwork to become a member of eWomenPublishingNetwork.
But it may be worth considering, since there is a discounted membership fee for any member of eWomenNetwork who also becomes a member of eWomenPublishingNetwork.

16. Am I guaranteed a speaking slot at eWomenNetwork events if I am a member of eWomenPublishingNetwork?
No. Because we are committed to giving the eWomenNetwork members only the finest in available
speakers and information, we cannot guarantee that you or your topic will fit our needs.
However, we hope to help you become a world-class speaker and to help you hone your message
so that you will have the best possible chance to speak to our groups. Authors have spoken to Chapters and been on the main stage at the International Conference due to their participation in eWomenPublishingNetwork.

17. How do I join eWomenPublishingNetwork?
