What you can expect from eWomenPublishingNetwork Membership

Getting Started

As soon as you have completed the online membership application you will receive a Welcome email and you can immediately start accessing your member benefits. One of the first things we ask you to do is to complete a Member Profile Questionnaire to give us your goals and project background. As soon as you have completed the questionnaire and have also sent any materials to start our work together, you can make an appointment for our first conversation by phone. You can set an appointment through the web site, or by emailing.

You will also receive the book Smart Women Publish, written by Jan B. King as a primer to assist women in understanding their role in the publishing process

Please take some time and review all the information on the Members Home Page of the web site, as soon as you log in with your exclusive member password. As you make your way through the web site, you will see that you can also register immediately for teleclasses/workshops, read through the knowledge database and articles, and listen to audio presentations.

We urge members to get started as soon as possible. Those who start right away report the most satisfaction with the membership because they have the time to use all it has to offer.

Personalized Game Plan

In about two weeks after we receive all your materials, we'll review your MPQ and the other materials you've sent us and our team of experts will be ready to give you the best advice of our brain trust. We'll discuss your goals, a plan of action, using the book professional members as a support team, and next steps in your process.

Be sure and think about the kind of support you'd like to have. What we do together will be based on your wishes. We don't limit the time we have for each member, so use this resource as often as you'd like. This is a collaborative process - we don't nag you to work on your book, but we can schedule calls that will create some deadlines which may help in getting finished faster. How you use your membership is up to you.

While we offer a lot of support as part of your membership, targeted help, such as editing, book cover design, marketing plans, etc. is not included. However, we do have top notch book professionals who provide discounts that are available only to our members.

Telecoaching

During the telecoaching appointments, typically we do one or more of the following:

• Review any material sent before the call
• Discuss your ideas, and really get to the heart of what is working and what isn’t about the work you are doing on your book
• Talk about a timeline or costs for getting your book done
• Answer any questions you may have
• Give you goals and strategies to the next stage of development

Through our network of top industry experts and resources we provide the education, insights and framework for a successful journey from concept to finished product and beyond.

eWomenPublishingNetwork works with business owners, coaches, consultants, speakers and others who want to turn their intellectual capital into books that dynamically communicate their messages and enhance their core businesses.

How do we make this all happen?

As a membership organization, eWomenPublishingNetwork assists you in defining where you are in the publishing process as well as what is to come. Whether you are an established author or simply have a great idea in need of a path to completion, eWomenPublishingNetwork has the resources to support, inspire and celebrate your publishing endeavor.

As part of an annual membership, we offer as much telecoaching and email coaching as you need to get the job done, access to our members-only website full of resources for each step of the process such as an extensive audio library, and workshops and other events where you can share success stories with authors and professionals in the publishing industry, and finally, book industry professionals to turn to with questions, concerns and support -- constant contact with members via email or phone, whichever you prefer.

For aspiring authors, we coach you via telephone and email to:

If you are serious about creating the book you’ve always dreamed of, you can do it this year. Let us show you how. We will do an initial professional evaluation of the book concept and review a proposal or any other material the member has developed. Then we review new material you develop, whenever you develop it. We also help you establish the time, costs and additional resources.

As part of the evaluation, we will also suggest additional resources if you want more help with writing a proposal, writing the book, media coaching, image consulting - everything that may help you become a successful author. The resource professionals are an additional fee, but are pre-selected so that we have the best book professionals in the country who charge reasonable rates.

For established authors: As we do for aspiring authors, the first step is to do an evaluation of the book and its marketability, looking at what you have already accomplished in marketing and what you would like to achieve. In addition, we give you guaranteed promotional opportunities and unlimited telecoaching and email coaching to guide you in your marketing efforts:

A guaranteed showcase interview on the acclaimed eWomenNetwork radio show on the country’s largest ABC affiliate (you can use a tape of the show on your own web site)
Opportunities to speak at 2,000 events in the U.S. and Canada through the eWomenSpeakersNetwork (your speaking profile marketed to event planners for a full year as part of your membership)
Guaranteed promotion in the eWomenNetwork eMagazine (circulation of 400,000) and additional promotional opportunities for book reviews and articles in over 60 national and women’s regional magazines with whom we’ve created special relationships.

What You Will Get for Your Membership

1. We will teach you what you need to know about publishing and reduce the learning curve you would otherwise encounter, with private one-to-one coaching, our teleclasses/workshops, and our knowledge database of articles and audio downloads on the Members Private Section of our web site.

We will introduce you to the best minds in the business and make sure you have access to all the resources you need to do your best work through personal referrals tailored to you and your book project through our members-only access to our book professional directory (not everyone in the industry, just the best of the best).

Why a Membership Program?

We could have designed this program so you could just pay for consulting and coaching help when you needed it. But we didn’t do that for two reasons: This is a much less expensive way to get the help you need (less than $125 a month for unlimited coaching, you can’t beat that), and we want to motivate you to finish your book within your year membership (which is entirely possible to do).

We know if will take you at least a year to successfully create, publish and promote your book. We want you to have all the access you need for that entire year and to not have to worry about buying one coaching session at a time. Sometimes you will use the membership a lot, perhaps as your book goes to the printer. Sometimes you will be working on one element by yourself for a month and won't use it as much. But we are always there to help you as you make your way along the publishing path.

We are able to keep costs down because we aren’t doing the work, you are. We are giving you advice, support, guidance and motivation, but we aren’t doing the writing, editing, marketing or other activities.

Getting Finished

Most, but not all, of our members finish their books during their first year of membership. But it does take a commitment of time and effort on your part. You have to create a schedule that allows time for your book and be willing to work on something most weeks. We look forward to working with you to see your book through to completion!
